Fox Control

Fox carrying its prey in its mouth.

Foxes are a natural part of the British countryside and provide valuable ecological benefits by helping to control rodents and other small mammals. However, where fox populations become established around farms, construction sites, commercial premises, golf courses, airfields, or residential areas, they can cause significant problems, including predation of livestock and wildlife, damage to property, and risks to public health.

At JK Wildlife Management, our approach is based on understanding the specific circumstances of each site before recommending the most appropriate management strategy. We aim to resolve conflicts between people and wildlife while maintaining high standards of animal welfare and complying with all relevant UK legislation.

Where intervention is required, our experienced operatives employ a range of lawful and humane control methods appropriate to the site, location, and level of activity. Every project begins with a detailed site assessment to identify fox activity, den locations, access routes, and the factors attracting foxes to the area. This enables us to develop an effective, targeted management plan rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

Shooting

Where fox control is necessary, shooting provides a safe, effective and humane method of population management when carried out by trained professionals. Using thermal imaging, night vision equipment and drone technology, we can accurately locate and positively identify foxes in low-light conditions, allowing for a safe, ethical and humane dispatch while minimising disturbance to non-target wildlife. All operations are conducted in full compliance with UK legislation and industry best practice.

Fencing

Agricultural fencing is an effective long-term solution for reducing fox activity around farms and rural properties. By securing livestock enclosures, poultry units and vulnerable areas, well-designed fencing helps prevent fox access, reducing predation and protecting valuable livestock. We install durable, purpose-built fencing solutions tailored to each site's requirements, providing reliable, long-lasting protection.
